Starting the counseling process can be intimidating at first, especially if you’ve never reached out to a counselor before. This is often because of a lack of knowledge about what to expect.

I want your experience as a client at Healing Holistic to be as positive as possible, for this reason I’ve fleshed-out each individual part of the counseling process from start-to-finish below.

Prior to scheduling an initial intake session for counseling services, it is suggested that you complete a complimentary phone consultation. To receive your complimentary phone consultation, call (980) 288-5224 during normal business hours or schedule one with me online. During this consultation, we will work together to decide if Healing Holistic is the right fit for your specific counseling needs. Basic information such as your name, telephone number, email address, availability, and a brief description of your need for counseling services may be collected during this consultation. Additionally this consultation allows me the opportunity to refer you elsewhere if necessary, while avoiding any fees associated with an initial intake session.

*If you would prefer to schedule an intake session without receiving a complimentary phone consult, you are also welcome to do so via the online portal.*

If Healing Holistic sounds like the “right” fit for you, it’s time to schedule your first session! Prior to this initial intake session, you will be instructed to complete any and all necessary paperwork online through the client portal. During the intake session we will begin to explore what the counseling process may look like for you. We’ll discuss what the counseling relationship will look like, as well as what you can expect from your treatment plan- which is created to fit your unique needs.

After completing the initial intake session, regularly scheduled sessions begin! You’ll be able to self-schedule future sessions online through the client portal, or we will schedule them together at the end of each session. Most clients schedule a session once-weekly when beginning counseling, unless otherwise discussed during the initial intake session. However, bi-weekly sessions and twice weekly sessions are offered on a case-by-case basis.
